 Be Proactive!

What a marvel, our skin. It is the largest organ on the body. It delivers nutrients to our cells and hair follicles.  The skin interfaces with the environment and is the first line of defense from external factors. Your skin plays a key role in protecting your body against pathogens and excessive water loss. Our skin is very efficient, sometimes to our determent. If you put toxins on your scalp or skin it will distribute those as well.  Your internal organs and endocrine system will use the nutrients but have to filter and break down the toxins (chemicals, dyes, parabens, harsh preservatives etc.)

As amazing as the skin is, unfortunately you cannot exchange it for another one!  Modern science has allowed heart and other organ transplants but skin is not so easily replaced. A vital component that is needed for healthy hair and skin is Vitamin D.  Did you know the only natural source of vitamin D is the sun! Skincare products on the market are so heavily laden with chemicals, dyes, petroleum, mineral oil and silicon based components; they cannot and should not penetrate the epidermis. The majority of commercially produced cosmetic and personal care products are jam-packed with toxins that your skin wants to keep out! And the use of these chemical components causes moisture loss and dry prematurely aging skin.  Because these products sit on the surface coating and clogging the pores, they cannot carry nourishment to the bulb of the hair follicle or the second layer of skin called the dermis.  This is where the skin goes to work distributing the beneficial nutrients your body needs. Opal Hue products do not contain chemicals, dyes, parabens, alcohol, petroleum, mineral oil, silicon or fillers and because there is nothing to keep the product from penetrating to that critical second layer, there is nothing to prevent the ingredients from doing what they naturally were designed to do.
